(1) Upon the creation of a new school district or a reorganized new school district in accordance with Section 53G-3-301.1, 53G-3-301.3, or 53G-3-301.4, the applicable legislative body shall redistrict the affected school districts in accordance with Section 20A-14-201. (2) Except as provided in Section 53G-3-302, local school board membership in the affected school districts is subject to Title 20A, Chapter 14, Part 2, Election of Members of Local Boards of Education.
