(1) A producer shall label the container of raw milk or a raw milk product with a label that states
"raw milk" or "raw milk product" and meets the labeling requirements under 21 C.F.R. Parts 101
and 131 and rules made by the department.
(2) In addition to complying with Subsection (1), a producer shall label the container described in
Subsection (1) with:
(a) a date, no more than nine days after the raw milk or raw milk product is produced, by which
the raw milk or raw milk product should be sold;
(b) the statement: "Raw milk or raw milk products, no matter how carefully produced, may be
unsafe.";
(c) handling instructions to preserve quality and avoid contamination or spoilage;
(d) a specific colored label as determined by the department by rule; and
(e) any other information required by rule made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah
Administrative Rulemaking Act.
