Intergenerational poverty report

(1) The department shall annually prepare an intergenerational poverty report for inclusion in the
department's annual written report described in Section 35A-1-109.
(2) The intergenerational poverty report shall:
(a) report on the data, findings, and potential uses of the intergenerational poverty tracking
system described in Section 35A-9-201;
(b) describe policies, procedures, and programs that the department has implemented or
modified to help break the cycle of poverty and end welfare dependency for children in the
state affected by intergenerational poverty;
(c) contain recommendations to the Legislature on how to address issues relating to breaking
the cycle of poverty and ending welfare dependency for children in the state affected by
intergenerational poverty; and
(d) include the following reports:

(i) the report described in Section 9-1-210 by the Department of Cultural and Community
Engagement;
(ii) the report described in Section 26B-1-218 by the Department of Health and Human
Services; and
(iii) the report described in Section 53E-1-206 by the State Board of Education.
