(1) There is created as a program within the office the Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. (2) The director, with the approval of the executive director and after consultation with members of the community to be served by the division, shall appoint an assistant director to administer the services provided by the division. (3) The assistant director shall administer the division in accordance with: (a) the direction of the director and the executive director; and (b) applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
