Utah Code § 26B-4-244

Government issued photo identification

A government issued photo identification is valid for purposes of this chapter if the identification:
(1) is unexpired;
(2) expired within the previous six months; or
(3) is expired and belongs to an individual who:
(a) as reported by the individual's recommending medical provider is in hospice or has a terminal
illness; or
(b) is a patient or resident of:
(i) an assisted living facility, as defined in Section 26B-2-201;
(ii) a nursing care facility, as defined in Section 26B-2-201; or
(iii) a general acute hospital, as defined in Section 26B-2-201.
