(1) As used in this section, "pre-charged pneumatic air rifle" means a rifle that fires a single projectile with compressed air released from a chamber: (a) built into the rifle; and (b) pressurized at a minimum of 2,000 pounds per square inch from an external high compression device or source, such as a hand pump, compressor, or scuba tank. (2) An individual may use a pre-charged pneumatic air rifle to hunt: (a) a species of protected wildlife designated by the Wildlife Board; (b) a cottontail rabbit; (c) a snowshoe hare; or (d) a turkey, with a fall turkey permit.
