County surveyor seal

(1) The county surveyor shall have a seal, furnished by the county, the impression of which shall
contain:
(a) the words: "State of Utah, County Surveyor"; and
(b) the name of the county in which the seal is to be used.
(2)
(a) If a county contracts with a licensed professional land surveyor, as described in Section
17-73-201:
(i) the county may, by contract, authorize the licensed professional land surveyor to use the
seal described in Subsection (1); or
(ii) the licensed professional land surveyor shall use the licensed professional land surveyor's
personal seal.
(b) A surveyor seal used as described in this section satisfies any legal requirements that require
the use of a surveyor's seal, notwithstanding any administrative rule made under Section
58-22-601.
