(1) The sheriff when necessary may with the assent of the county executive employ a temporary guard for the protection of the county jail, or for the safekeeping of prisoners. (2) The expenses of a temporary guard employed under Subsection (1) shall be a county charge. Renumbered and Amended by Chapter 13, 2025 Special Session 1
