17-22-8.1. Disclosure of detainee medical clearance. (1) A health care provider, as defined in Section 78B-3-403, who provides health care to a detainee before the detainee is booked into a county jail by a competent authority, is authorized to disclose to the competent authority whether a detainee is medically cleared for incarceration. (2) The disclosure under Subsection (1) shall be in writing if requested by the competent authority.
