Violation of restraining or injunctive order -- Civil penalty

If a person violates a restraining order, a chapter or section the division administers, or an
injunction granted under this chapter, the division may submit a motion for, or the court on the
court's own motion, may impose a civil penalty of not more than $2,000 for each day a person
violates a temporary restraining order, preliminary injunction or permanent injunction issued under
this chapter, if the person receives notice of the restraining or injunctive order.
