Deposit of interlocal entity funds -- Commingling with personal funds prohibited

(1) The treasurer of an interlocal entity shall promptly deposit all interlocal entity funds in the
appropriate bank accounts of the interlocal entity.
(2) It is unlawful for a person to commingle interlocal entity funds with the person's own money.
(3) If an interlocal entity has reason to believe that an officer or employee has misused public
funds, the interlocal entity shall place the employee or officer on administrative leave with or
without pay, pending completion of any investigation.
