Effect of incorporation of community council area

(1) As used in this section:
(a) "Service area" means the area for which a service provider provided municipal services
to an unincorporated island immediately before the incorporation of a community council
municipality that includes the previously unincorporated island.
(b) "Service provider" means a special district or other provider of municipal services that, before
the incorporation of a community council municipality, provided service to the service area.
(c) "Unincorporated island" means the same as that term is defined in Section 10-2-814.
(2) An incorporation of a community council municipality does not affect the boundary of any
service provider, subject to any future change in the boundary as provided by applicable law.
(3) All roads and other utilities that before incorporation of a community council municipality were
under the jurisdiction of the county in which the community council municipality is located
become, upon incorporation, under the jurisdiction of the community council municipality.
