Sec. 855.202. LEGAL REPRESENTATION. (a) The board of trustees shall appoint an attorney. (b) The attorney shall act as the legal adviser to the board of trustees. (c) The board of trustees, the director, or the director's designee may employ or obtain the services of other attorneys or outside legal counsel to represent the retirement system in litigation or advise the retirement system on fiduciary or legal matters.
