Sec. 843.055. LAWS RELATING TO PRACTICE OF MEDICINE. (a) This chapter does not authorize the practice of medicine as defined by state law. (b) This chapter does not repeal, modify, or amend Section 164.051 , 164.052 , 164.053 , 164.054 , or 164.056 , Occupations Code, and a health maintenance organization is not exempt from those sections.
