Sec. 841.083. TREATMENT; SUPERVISION. (a) The office shall determine the conditions of supervision and treatment of a committed person. (b) The office shall provide supervision to the person. The provision of supervision must include a tracking service and, if determined necessary by the office, supervised housing. (c) The office shall enter into appropriate memoranda of understanding with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the provision of a tracking service and with the Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement authorities for assistance in the preparation of criminal complaints, warrants, and related documents and in the apprehension and arrest of a person. (d) The office shall enter into appropriate contracts for the provision of any necessary supervised housing and other related services and may enter into appropriate contracts for medical and mental health services and sex offender treatment. The term of a contract under this subsection may not exceed 10 years. The contract may provide for an unlimited number of renewals each for an additional term not to exceed 10 years. This subsection prevails to the extent of a conflict between this subsection and any other law. (e) The case manager shall: (1) coordinate the treatment and supervision required by this chapter, including performing a periodic assessment of the success of that treatment and supervision; and (2) provide a report to the office, semiannually or more frequently as necessary, which must include any known change in the person's status that affects proper treatment and supervision.
