Sec. 772.505. POLITICAL SUBDIVISION; DISTRICT POWERS. (a) A district is a political subdivision of this state created to carry out essential governmental functions. (b) A district may exercise all powers necessary or convenient to carry out the purposes and provisions of this subchapter.
