Sec. 712.0036. TERM OF CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY. (a) The Finance Commission of Texas by rule shall prescribe the term of and renewal procedures for a certificate of authority issued under this chapter. (b) If the Finance Commission of Texas prescribes the term of a certificate of authority issued under this chapter for a period other than one year, the finance commission shall prorate any applicable fees as necessary to reflect the term of the certificate.
