Sec. 661.033. PAYMENT FOR VACATION AND SICK LEAVE. (a) When a state employee dies, the state shall pay the employee's estate for the balances of the employee's: (1) vacation leave; and (2) sick leave. (b) Payment under this section shall comply with any limits in the General Appropriations Act, except as provided by Subsection (c). (c) Payment under this section may not be for more than: (1) all of the state employee's accumulated vacation leave; and (2) one-half of the state employee's accumulated sick leave or 336 hours of sick leave, whichever is less.
