Sec. 62.043. OATH AND BOND. (a) A trustee shall qualify within 15 days after his appointment by taking the official oath and filing a good and sufficient bond with the county clerk. (b) The bond shall be approved by the commissioners court, payable to the county, in a sum not to exceed $5,000 as approved by the commissioners court of the county, and conditioned on the faithful performance of the duties of the trustee, including his proper handling of all money which may come into his hands in his capacity as a member of the board. (c) The cost of the bond shall be paid by the board.
