Sec. 606.026. CONTRIBUTIONS BY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION. (a) The governing body of a political subdivision may make contributions under an agreement to obtain social security coverage. (b) The maximum compensation provided by statute for a county employee is not exceeded by the payment of a matching contribution by a political subdivision to obtain social security coverage for the employee. (c) An instrumentality of the state that receives a direct legislative appropriation may contribute, for employees covered under Subtitle C, Title 8, only funds specifically appropriated for social security coverage.
