Sec. 603.254. QUALIFICATION FOR EXAMINATION. (a) To qualify for the licensing examinations under this chapter, an applicant must have successfully completed a perfusion education program approved by the medical board. (b) The medical board may approve a perfusion education program only if the program has educational standards that are: (1) at least as stringent as those established by the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education of the American Medical Association or its successor; and (2) approved by the Commission on Accreditation of the Allied Health Education Program of the American Medical Association or its successor.
