Sec. 593.078. PAYMENT FOR ADULT RESIDENTS. (a) A parent of a resident who is 18 years of age or older is not required to pay for the resident's support, maintenance, and treatment. (b) Except as provided by Section 593.081 , a resident and the resident's estate are liable for the costs of the resident's support, maintenance, and treatment regardless of the resident's age.
