Sec. 58.204. ADDITIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITMENT OF CERTAIN COMPANIES. (a) Not later than December 31, 1998, an electing company serving more than one million but fewer than five million access lines shall provide digital switching central offices in all exchanges. (b) Not later than January 1, 2000, an electing company serving more than five million access lines shall: (1) install Common Channel Signaling 7 capability in each central office; and (2) connect all of the company's serving central offices to their respective LATA tandem central offices with optical fiber or equivalent facilities.
