Sec. 57.059. QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTORS. To be qualified to serve as a director, a person must: (1) be at least 18 years old; (2) own land subject to taxation in the district or be a qualified voter in the district; and (3) if the director is elected, be a qualified voter of the precinct in the district established by the commissioners court under Section 57.058 from which the director is elected.
