Sec. 553.052. APPLICATION FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPATION. (a) A person must obtain approval from the department and any applicable agency before testing an artificial intelligence system under the program. (b) The department by rule shall prescribe the application form. The form must require the applicant to: (1) provide a detailed description of the artificial intelligence system the applicant desires to test in the program, and its intended use; (2) include a benefit assessment that addresses potential impacts on consumers, privacy, and public safety; (3) describe the applicant's plan for mitigating any adverse consequences that may occur during the test; and (4) provide proof of compliance with any applicable federal artificial intelligence laws and regulations.
