Sec. 55.125. HOURS WHEN USE PROHIBITED. (a) A person may not use an automated dial announcing device to make a telephone solicitation call terminating in this state in which the device plays a recorded message when the connection is completed if the call is made: (1) before noon or after 9 p.m. on a Sunday; or (2) before 9 a.m. or after 9 p.m. on a weekday or a Saturday. (b) A person may not use an automated dial announcing device to make a telephone collection call terminating in this state in which the device plays a recorded message when the connection is completed if the call is made at an hour at which collection calls are prohibited under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (15 U.S.C. Section 1692 et seq.).
