Sec. 55.021. EXTENDED AREA SERVICE. After notice and a hearing, the commission may order one or more local exchange companies that are dominant carriers to provide: (1) mandatory extended area service in accordance with Section 55.022 ; or (2) optional extended area service in accordance with Section 55.023 .
