Sec. 549.0403. PUBLIC ACCESS TO PROGRAM INFORMATION. (a) The commission shall establish a system under which members of the public can call a toll-free telephone number to obtain information about available patient assistance programs. The commission shall ensure that the system is staffed at least during normal business hours with individuals who can: (1) determine whether a patient assistance program is offered for a particular drug; (2) determine whether an individual may be eligible to participate in a program; and (3) assist an individual who wishes to apply for a program. (b) The commission shall publicize the telephone number to pharmacies and drug prescribers.
