Sec. 545.458. APPLICABILITY OF COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE LAWS TO AUTOMATED MOTOR VEHICLE. (a) In this section, "commercial motor vehicle" has the meaning assigned by Section 644.001 . (b) An automated motor vehicle that is a commercial motor vehicle shall operate in accordance with Subtitle F and any other applicable laws or regulations of this state or a political subdivision of this state governing the operation of a commercial motor vehicle, except that any provision of a commercial motor vehicle law that by its nature reasonably applies only to a human driver does not apply to an automated motor vehicle operating with the automated driving system engaged.
