Sec. 534.009. MEETINGS. (a) The board of trustees shall adopt rules for the holding of regular and special meetings. (b) Board meetings are open to the public to the extent required by and in accordance with Chapter 551 , Government Code. (c) The board of trustees shall keep a record of its proceedings in accordance with Chapter 551 , Government Code. The record is open for public inspection in accordance with that law. (d) The board of trustees shall send to each appropriate department and each local agency that appoints the members a copy of the approved minutes of board of trustees meetings by: (1) mailing a copy appropriately addressed and with the necessary postage paid using the United States Postal Service; or (2) another method agreed to by the board of trustees and the local agency.
