Sec. 525.0207. HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE SYSTEM STAGE THREE: EXPANSION. In stage three of implementing the health information exchange system, the commission may expand the system by: (1) developing evidence-based benchmarking tools for a health care provider to use in evaluating the provider's own performance on health care outcomes and overall quality of care as compared to aggregated peer performance data; and (2) expanding the system to include state agencies, additional health care providers, laboratories, diagnostic facilities, hospitals, and medical offices.
