AUTOMATIC REVOCATION FOR CERTAIN SEX OFFENDERS AND TERRORISTS

Sec. 521.348. AUTOMATIC REVOCATION FOR CERTAIN SEX OFFENDERS AND TERRORISTS. (a) A driver's license is automatically revoked if the holder of the license:
(1) is subject to the registration requirements of Chapter 62 or 65 , Code of Criminal Procedure; and
(2) fails to apply to the department for renewal of the license as required by Article 62.060 , 62.2021 , or 65.058 , Code of Criminal Procedure, as applicable.
(b) The department may issue a driver's license to a person whose license is revoked under this section only if the person:
(1) applies for an original or renewal license under Section 521.272 ; and
(2) is otherwise qualified for the license.
