Sec. 51.763. ELECTRONIC ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM FOR UNIVERSITY SYSTEMS. (a) The governing board of a university system shall adopt a common admission application form consistent with this subchapter to be used by any person seeking freshman or undergraduate transfer admission to one or more of the general academic teaching institutions within the university system. (b) The form must: (1) allow each applicant to: (A) apply electronically to one or more of the general academic teaching institutions within the university system; and (B) indicate preferences for admission between those institutions; and (2) include a prominent link to the electronic tools or platforms developed by the board under Section 61.09022 . (c) A general academic teaching institution is not prohibited from requiring an applicant to submit additional information within a reasonable time after the institution has received an application under this section. (d) Each institution of higher education shall publish prominently on its admission application website a link to MyTexasFuture.Org or its successor electronic platform and provide notice to students that they may apply to the institution using the electronic common admission application form found in ApplyTexas.Org or via MyTexasFuture.Org.
