Sec. 504.153. ALTERNATIVE QUALIFICATIONS AND EVIDENCE OF LICENSE REQUIREMENT SATISFACTION. (a) An applicant is exempt from the requirements of Sections 504.152 (3)(A) and (C) if the applicant holds a baccalaureate degree or a more advanced degree in: (1) chemical dependency counseling; or (2) psychology, sociology, or any other related program approved by the department. (b) On presentation of documentation by an applicant who holds a degree described by Subsection (a), the department may waive any portion of the requirement established by Section 504.152 (3)(B) that the department determines has been satisfied as evidenced by the documentation.
