Sec. 503.094. CRIMINAL PENALTY. (a) A person commits an offense if the person violates this chapter. (b) Except as otherwise provided by this section, an offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $50 or more than $5,000. (c) If the trier of fact finds that the person committed the violation wilfully or with conscious indifference to law, the court may treble the fine otherwise due as a penalty for the violation. (d) Repealed by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 668 (H.B. 718 ), Sec. 32(9), eff. July 1, 2025.
