Sec. 502.410. FALSIFICATION OR FORGERY. (a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly provides false or incorrect information or without legal authority signs the name of another person on a statement or application filed or given as required by this chapter. (b) Subsection (a) does not apply to a statement or application filed or given under Section 502.060 , 502.093 , 502.094 , 502.095 , 504.201 , 504.202 (b-1), 504.2025 (d), 504.508 , or 504.515 . (c) An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree.
