Sec. 501.401. GROUNDS FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION. The executive council shall take disciplinary action under Subchapter G , Chapter 507 , against a license holder who: (1) violates this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter; (2) is convicted of a felony or of any offense that would be a felony under the laws of this state, or of a violation of a law involving moral turpitude; (3) uses drugs or alcohol to an extent that affects the person's professional competency; (4) engages in fraud or deceit in connection with services provided as a psychologist; (5) except as provided by Section 501.263 : (A) aids or abets the practice of psychology by a person not licensed under this chapter in representing that the person is licensed under this chapter; (B) represents that the person is licensed under this chapter to practice psychology when the person is not licensed; or (C) practices psychology in this state without a license under this chapter or without being qualified for an exemption under Section 501.004 ; or (6) commits an act for which liability exists under Chapter 81 , Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
