Sec. 501.1471. REPORT. (a) Not later than the 30th day after the end of each fiscal quarter, the department shall submit to the Legislative Budget Board and the governor a report that contains, for the preceding quarter: (1) the actual and projected expenditures for the correctional health care system, including expenditures for unit and psychiatric care, hospital and clinical care, and pharmacy services; (2) health care utilization and acuity data; (3) other health care information as determined by the governor and the Legislative Budget Board; and (4) the amount of cost savings realized as a result of contracting for health care services under this subchapter with a provider other than the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and The University of Texas Medical Branch. (b) A contract entered into by the department for the provision of health care services must require the contracting entity to provide the department with necessary documentation to fulfill the requirements of this section.
