Sec. 493.028. INSPECTOR GENERAL REPORT ON CRIMINAL OFFENSES. (a) In this section, "special prosecution unit" means the special prosecution unit established under Subchapter E , Chapter 41 . (b) The inspector general of the department shall on a quarterly basis prepare and deliver to the board of directors of the special prosecution unit a report concerning any alleged criminal offense concerning the department and described by Article 104.003 (a), Code of Criminal Procedure, that occurred during the preceding calendar quarter.
