Sec. 466.203. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY ASSISTANCE; COSTS OF INVESTIGATION. (a) The executive director may request the cooperation of the Department of Public Safety to perform a background investigation of a person listed in Section 466.201 (a) or (b). The executive director shall reimburse the Department of Public Safety for the actual cost of an investigation.
(b) The executive director may require a person who is subject to investigation to pay all costs of the investigation and to provide any information, including fingerprints, necessary to carry out the investigation or facilitate access to state or federal criminal history record information. Payments made to the executive director under this subsection shall be deposited in the general revenue fund and may be used to reimburse the Department of Public Safety for the actual costs of an investigation.
(c) Unless otherwise prohibited by law, the Department of Public Safety may retain any record or information submitted to it under this section. The Department of Public Safety shall notify the executive director of any change in information provided to the executive director when the Department of Public Safety learns of the change.
