Sec. 453.353. SUBPOENAS. (a) The board may request or compel by subpoena: (1) the attendance of a witness for examination under oath; and (2) the production for inspection or copying of evidence relevant to an investigation of an alleged violation of this chapter. (b) If a person fails to comply with the subpoena, the board, acting through the attorney general, may file suit to enforce the subpoena in a district court in Travis County or in the county in which a hearing conducted by the board may be held. (c) If the court determines that good cause exists for issuing the subpoena, the court shall order the person to comply with the subpoena. The court may punish for contempt a person who fails to obey the court order.
