Texas Code § 451.458

Sec. 451.458. INTERNAL AUDITOR. (a) This section applies only to an authority confirmed before July 1, 1985, in which the principal municipality has a population of less than 1.3 million.
(b) The board shall appoint a qualified individual to perform internal auditing services for a term of five years. The board may remove the auditor only on the affirmative vote of at least three-fourths of the members of the board.
(c) The auditor shall report directly to the board.
