Sec. 451.070. ELECTIONS. (a) In an election ordered by a board: (1) the board shall give notice of the election by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the authority at least once each week for three consecutive weeks, with the first publication occurring at least 21 days before the date of the election; and (2) a resolution ordering the election and the election notice must show, in addition to the requirements of the Election Code, the hours of the election and polling places in election precincts. (b) Subsection (a) does not apply to an election under Subchapter N. (c) An election contest may not be heard unless the comptroller is timely notified as required by Section 451.413 .
