Sec. 441.221. DEFINITION. In this subchapter: (1) "Commission" means the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. (2) "Institution of higher education" includes: (A) an institution of higher education and a private or independent institution of higher education, as those terms are defined by Section 61.003 , Education Code; and (B) a work college, as defined by 20 U.S.C. Section 1087-58. (3) "Nonprofit corporation" means a nonprofit corporation established under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act (Article 1396-1.01 et seq., Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes) that provides extensive library services and collections in the fields of clinical medicine and the history of medicine. (4) "Public library" has the meaning assigned by Section 441.122 .
