Sec. 433.021. INSPECTION BEFORE SLAUGHTER. (a) To prevent the use in intrastate commerce of adulterated meat and meat food products, the department shall examine and inspect each livestock animal before it is allowed to enter a processing establishment in this state in which slaughtering and preparation of meat and meat food products of livestock are conducted solely for intrastate commerce. (b) Any livestock animal found on inspection to show symptoms of disease shall be set apart and slaughtered separately from other livestock. The carcass of the animal shall be carefully examined and inspected as provided by department rule.
