Sec. 431.062. GENERAL POWERS. (a) A corporation has the powers and privileges of a nonprofit corporation incorporated under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act (Article 1396-1.01 et seq., Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes). (b) A corporation has the powers provided by this subchapter to promote and develop new and expanded transportation facilities and systems on behalf of the commission and powers incidental to or necessary for the performance of that purpose. (c) A corporation may, at the request of the commission, perform any function not specified by this chapter to promote and develop transportation facilities and systems. (d) A corporation has the powers necessary to construct or improve transportation facilities and systems approved by the commission.
