Sec. 43.139. 79TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT. (a) The voters of the 79th Judicial District elect a district attorney. (b) The commissioners courts of the counties comprising the district may supplement the state salary of the district attorney in the amount of $2,500 a year. The commissioners court of each county in the district shall pay a proportionate share of the supplemental salary according to the population of the county.
