Sec. 421.042. PRIVATE SECTOR ADVISORY COUNCIL. (a) The Private Sector Advisory Council is a permanent special advisory committee created to advise the governor or the governor's designee on homeland security issues relevant to the private sector. (b) The council is composed of: (1) one representative of a private organization or entity for each of the following sectors of the state, each appointed by the governor or the governor's designee: (A) agriculture and food; (B) banking and finance; (C) chemicals and hazardous materials; (D) the defense industry; (E) energy; (F) emergency services; (G) information technology; (H) telecommunications; (I) postal and shipping; (J) public health; (K) transportation; (L) ports and waterways; and (M) national monuments and icons; and (2) other members, as determined by the governor or the governor's designee.
