Sec. 403.017. CUSTODY OF SECURITY FOR MONEY AND DEEDS. (a) A bond, note, or other security for money given to the state or an officer for the use of the state shall be deposited in the office of the comptroller. (b) A deed conveying land or an interest in land to the state for highway purposes shall be deposited in the Austin office of the Texas Department of Transportation.
