Sec. 402.00116. CHIEF EXECUTIVE. (a) The commissioner of workers' compensation is the division's chief executive and administrative officer. The commissioner shall administer and enforce this title, other workers' compensation laws of this state, and other laws granting jurisdiction to or applicable to the division or the commissioner. Except as otherwise specifically provided by this title, a reference in this title to the "commissioner" means the commissioner of workers' compensation. (b) The commissioner has the powers and duties vested in the division by this title and other workers' compensation laws of this state.
